WEATHER SPOTTER TRAINING

Weather has been a bit of a rollercoaster, and it’s likely to continue that way.

The National Weather Service is in need of spotters for severe weather. Several trainings are planned for volunteer spotters in Nebraska and Iowa.

Those in Saunders County can participate in an in-person training on Wednesday, March 22nd, 7 PM at the Law Enforcement Center Planning Room, 387 N Chestnut Street in Wahoo. The class is FREE and open to the public.

Trainings are available in counties across our area and individuals can attend a class at any location, regardless of where you live. Additionally, virtual (online) trainings are scheduled for Monday, April 3rd and Tuesday, April 25th.

You can find more information online at weather.gov/oax/spotter.
