Hi everybody, it's Kelly with Saunders County Online.com. Time for our daily newscast brought to us by the Wahoo newspaper, Waverly news and the Ashland Gazette.

The Wahoo School Board decided against allowing seniors to go to off campus for lunch next year. At the board's June 20th meeting they heard from the superintendent and other administrators that they did not feel the Open Campus was a good idea after speaking with local restaurants, operators and looking at the schedule. The idea came about as a solution to the crowded lunchroom at the Middle / High School. The board may revisit the issue next year according to board president Rob Brigham.

The Wahoo City Council meets tonight at seven o'clock at the Wahoo Public Library. Everybody is encouraged to come along. The agenda includes the acceptance of the 2021 utility audit. You can also watch the live stream on Saunders County Online's YouTube channel and our Facebook page.

Both the Wahoo junior and senior baseball teams are participating in their Eastern League Tournament at Elkhorn Mount Michael this week. Look for results in next week's Wahoo Newspaper.

The Yutan juniors play Auburn at home tonight at five o'clock. The seniors are also hosting Auburn tonight as they play at eight o'clock.

The Ashland Public Library continues its summer weekly series community night tonight with a comedy magic show with Poppin' Penelope at 6:30pm at the library.
