Currently the cities of Wahoo and Ashland have and maintain 24/7 police departments. The towns of Yutan, Mead, Ceresco, and Cedar Bluffs maintain part-time police departments. The Saunders County Sheriff's Office strives to maintain a cohesive and collaborative relationship with these departments to better serve the entire public of Saunders County.

The Saunders County Sheriff's Office investigates criminal offenses, traffic accidents, enforces traffic laws, and serves as County Corner in death investigations.
